- Lehigh Film Series -

Science fiction films pose, as other movies, social and personal dilemmas. Yet, by depicting other worlds and technologies, the constraints are unique and inspiring. Thus, it is possible to speculate as to what it would be like to live in such a place and time and make connections to our own lives. Also, science fiction movies allow us to examine the limits of our present technology and scientific knowledge.

The Lehigh Film Series, "Science Fiction?" seeks to raise questions and provoke discussions about science, bioethics, diversity, inclusion, and equity problems using science fiction movies as a vehicle. In every show there is a discussion, led by a Lehigh faculty member, that explores the scientific foundation and the consequences of the topics mentioned/suggested in the film. Learn, enjoy the shows, and may the force be with you! ;)
